me and this guy usually hang out in a group of friends and i really like him...k so i asked him one day if he liked me and he said yeah and that we should go out this weekend...k so friday i asked if he still wanted to do something and he said yes and got my phone #....we're supposed to do something tonight but he hasn't called me all day and it's making me feel all unsure.....am i getting worked up over nothing? plz tell me! oh and it sux bcause i forgot to ask him for his #....

He could simply be waiting for the "right time" to call. Some guys don't want to seem too eager, so they try to play it cool and play by the whole 3 (sometimes 4) day rule, or whatever.. basically, it could be that he's trying to go with the flow and call when it feels right.
Some guys are nervous about calling right away, especially if they're really attracted to a girl. This could be the case, especially since you guys usually hang out as a group, and now it may be something more.

I know that a lot of guys do that. Some times, guys really want you to have a good time. Just stay cool. And have a great time.
