well, i cant sing. I sound really stupid when i do. probabaly because my voice is stupid. Im 14 and like nearly 6ft and my voice is really quiet and crappy. Any tips because i really want to sing. Like barry manilow, or other great singers.

I didn't really think it would work, but i decided to try it, and my voice actually has gotten better. I mean, i know that i am not the best singer in the world, but i'm improving...and thats whats important.
As far as your voice sounding quiet... you are totally in control of how loud you sing. Many people are self-conscious about their singing, so they sing quietly to try and hide how "crappy" their voice is. But just sing louder. If you sing quietly, then it really does make the note come out different than it should.
One other tip that i can give you is to sing using your diaphram. It will help you to get a better pitch to your singing. Try these tips, and see if they work out for you.

GrandmaBettyLouis answered Thursday December 7 2006, 4:56 pm: I am gessing that you are a boy if you are 6ft and want to sing like Barry Mantilo. Not all singers have "an amazing voice" some really good musicians have very strange voices that are plesant to listen to. Joanna Newsom is an amazing musician and she has a creakity old lady voice. Frank Zappa is a GOD in the music world and he doesn't have the typical voice. Just don't try yelling because that isn't music.
