Makeup

Question Posted Thursday December 7 2006, 8:03 am

My face doesnt break out to bad, maybe a few zits here and there but I have a bad complexion.
Ive been using Lancome powder and foundation, but as I wear that, i get more and more zits and pimples but the powder and foundation covers it up.
But then if im ever NOT wearing the makeup then my face looks really bad.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to continue to wear the makeup but not get breakouts?
thanx a whole lot

The best thing to use for you face in a powder form is Bare Escentuals. It is amazing and airy, it also doesn't clog your pores or make you break out because it is all natural. They see it at their store, Sephora, and select locations. No liquid foundation is good for your skin and none should be worn unless you're taking pictures.

Even if you continue using your Lancome or switched to the best makeup out there you MUST REMOVED MAKEUP BEFORE SLEEPING. Use makeup remover for your eyes and face, then wash your face with a facial cleanser which helps zits.
Three steps- Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturize. Do all three at night before bed or almost before bed and you're skin will look great in the morning (if you use products which do not irritate your skin.) Then in the morning just wash your face.

heyy(: no offence or anything but Lancome isn't a really good product to use for make-up. My sister had the same reaction as you. First I think you should try to get pro-activ, not that it's because i think you have a face full of zits but it's helps with everything. I used to wear a ton of make-up that you couldn't even recognize me now that I don't. After I started using pro-activ for about 2 weeks I haven't seen another zit since then. As for the make-up, if you continue to wear it, I would stronglyyy suggest Sephora. Great brand of make-up.

I'm assuming by your description of what the makeup is doing to your face, that it must contain oil and not be non=comogenic. This will make your face break out very badly, if it does contain oil and is not non-comogenic.

I suggest using Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup, it's dermatolist tested, oil-free, non-comogenic, and works wonderfully on your skin. It's very smooth and light. Here is the product:

They also have this in powder all-in-one foundation: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
