lose some chub. I stopped playing volleyball a year ago. I still work out when I'm not working. I notice I am gaining love handles and a little bit of a gut. What are some easy exercises I can do at home that can reduce these? Thank you =]

This is the best advice I can give you on this matter. I am a member of the US military, and the tecniques we use in bootcamp are extremely effective and very simple. Basic sit-ups are severely underrated. In 6 weeks of bootcamp my waist dropped from a 36 to a 31 just by doing as many sit-ups you can in one-minute intervals. As for love handles, nothing helps get rid of those faster than running. I know running sucks and nobody wants to do it, but trust me it works. ]
The answer below is good. I just wanted to add that in order to lose the fat, you have to start making your body lose weight. This implies that you require a negative calorie balance. In short, you can do all the cardio in the world from here to Tokyo, but you wont lose a gram if you dont eat right (less than you burn).
So, focus on diet and cardio. If you want to throw some ab work into it then heres a link:

Click on abs and there will be a number of exercises you can do at home.
Now, just a friendly reminder, that theres a search function on this site. Its rarely used, but its made for just these sort of questions that are being asked on a daily basis.
Good luck. ]
Unfortunatly you cannot target fat loss. My suggestion is to start doing cardio, such as running (this proves to be the BEST exercise for the ab muscles) and then crunches. I really suggest the pilates for abs video, it's seriously VERY challenging but it works wonders!! The video incorporates lower and upper abs AND obliques to get rid of those love handles. Also if you drink pop..you should quit and start drinking water, it really helps!!
