ok i have oily skin too. well not bad but just a little. and well i dont know any permanent treatments. sorry but i do know there these things called clean & clear oil absorbing sheets. they come in a little blue case like small enuff to fit in ur purse maybe pocket. they are just little sheets u rub on you face and it takes the oil right off. seriously it does. you can use them anytime. so yea they are great. & they dont rub your makeup off either if you wear any. so you should try them for a temporary solution.

Well, what did the dermatologist suggest? Did you follow his or her instructions exactly as given? Did you go for a follow-up when it didn't work?

He or she should have suggested a new course of action since the first one didn't work. If that wasn't the case, it might be worth seeing a different dermatologist for a second opinion.

First, I suggest always have oil blotting sheets with you at all times. They come in handy, and really do help, if you have good ones. I would recommend Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

I would also recommend trying Noxema Cream, if you have not already. I have used this personally (as I do everything I recommend, it's my rule), and have noticed not only does it keep my skin clear, but it also does not make my skin shiny/oily.

Good Luck!

I've got really oily skin too, I know something that will help you out caused it really helped me. It's called Almay and you can get it at some CVS stores I think, oh, and when you get it, I wouldn't get the Toner, just get the wash and then the lotion! Hoped I helped!
