For how many minutes would i have to jump rope a day to lose weight?

The way you phrased that question makes it impossible for anyone to answer concretly. Simply put, since weight loss is the result of a negative calorie balance, it depends on how much you eat.

However, a workout of 30 mins or so is always a good starting point to condition your body.
