Metabolism is basiclly how quickly your body burns off what you eat, and at what rate. It's defferent for everyone & you can inherit it from your parents. However, this CAN be changed through good diet & exercise (or lack thereof) and isn't a "risk factor" or something you're stuck with, like a predisposition for high cholesterol. It can be managed and changed relatively easily.

After that your body starts to use your stored fat so normally working out for an hour will burn a fair amount of fat depending on how hard the workout is.
