What's the differences between a Christian and a Baptist? there are two school where I live and I was wondering why don't they jsut call it a catholic school instead of saying christian, baptist.
infatuatedxxglamour answered Saturday December 2 2006, 3:15 pm: The religion of Christianity includes a bunch of smaller religions inside of it. They all believe basically the same things, but a few smaller aspects of the religion may be changed. That said, Catholicism and Baptist is a part of Christianity. Since it is a Catholic school, it is not going to teach the principles of other religions in Christianity, such as being Baptist. There a bunch of different groups that have slightly different belifs, such as lutherins, protestents, catholics, baptists, mormons, methodists, and many others. Go here for baptist info: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
and here for catholic info: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
if you read them both, you'll notice some really small and insignificant differences. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
