birthday surprise

Question Posted Wednesday November 29 2006, 9:16 pm

im 16 and my bf will be 17 on his birthday.. which then we'll have been together almost 7 months. we go to different schools and i wouldnt be able to really hang out with him that day because right after school he goes to work until late, but he says that his birthday is always just like another day and he never has parties or anything like that so i want to make it a good one for him. so i have two ideas:

1. get checked out of school about 30 minutes early and go to his school and show up and wait in the lobby or something about 5 minutes before the last bell rings so that when he walks out ill be there and have his present and maybe a balloon or rose with me to give him [btw would a guy like a single rose or is that more of a chick thing?]

but then today as i was leaving school i saw this really sweet sign someone hung on a stop sign for someone else that gave me another idea..

make a sign with his initials or nickname or something on it that has a message for him [i wont use his full name or anything tho incase itd be embarrassing or something!] and then sign it. and then unexpectedly go to his work and wait there with his present and balloons or w/e and then eat there with him if he can (he works at a restaurant).

soo yeah. which one of these sounds better? im not sure if ill be driving but if not my mom already kind of knows the plan so maybe she'll help me lol. advice/opinions on this?

I personnally like the first plan. Mainly because some bosses are strict about people visting their employees. And I just like the idea of the first one, I think its cute. And I think a guy can accept a single rose.

I think that waiting for him after school would be such an adorable idea. And I would definetely use the rose ; I don't find it more of a chick thing, because a rose symbolizes love, and a girl can love a guy obviously and a guy can love a girl.

Plus, that's the thing. Is girls hardly give guys roses or anything because they THINK its a girly thing - so it'd be something that most girlfriends probably don't give their boyfriends, which'll be a nice suprise for him.

Maybe even have the balloon tied to the car, and just have the rose sitting on it where he can find it, and as he's just looking at them ( and hopefully smiling! who wouldn't smile, though? ) then you can just come up behind him ( you can stand behind another nearby car ) and be like,"happy birthday" and give him a kiss or something and his present. It's like a double-whammy suprise, haha.

Whatever way you do it, I think that the car idea is adorable, and I'd love it if someone ever did that for me - especially right after school cause school never really puts someone in the best mood, I don't think, haha.

I hope I helped.
