I've been reading alot of questions on here about "group homes" and I haven't answered any yet because I'm not sure what a 'group home' is. So if someone would tell me.. that'd be great!

A group home is like a half way house. The kid I love was just in a group home for 5 months. He was on probation and his dad told his PO that he wasnt getting along with his family and he was sent to the group home where he only had one phone call a week, had to do chores everyday, and was around alot of other boys that he didnt know. You cant smoke, drink, do drugs there. It depends on which one it is, cause some are stricter than others. but basically its a place for troubled kids to go to seek "help" and when they get better their allowed to go back home again. It's also called a halfway housewhich is generally more based towards drugs.. and you go there when youre trying to get clean and sober [ VainTaraLynn's advice column | Ask VainTaraLynn A Question ]

definition says:
A single-family residence used as a living space for unrelated, developmentally disabled or mentally disabled people.
So it's pretty much what you think.. of a group home.
