why can't i hear music when i try to listen to music on the computer when the volumn is on and it's not on mute either?

when my speakers did that, we had to go & get them fixed.

your soundcard could be broken.

try making sure they are plugged up correctly, and if that doesn't work, then i advise you to go to a computer specialist, i'm sure they will fix it.

The cord probably got unplugged a little. Look at the back of your computer- its a green plug that looks like a headphone plug sort of. Make sure it's plugged all the way in. Also make sure the power source is on.


The speakers could also be on, but the volume could also be at 0%. To check this, right click the little speaker icon on your taskbar and check all the sliders & make sure they're up. You can also check under control panel.

There must be something wrong with your speakers, I suggest getting new ones. But before you do that, make sure everything is hooked up right. Otherwise, they will not work, of course.
