GMail. When you compose and send a letter, does it tell you If and When the recipient has opened the e-mail?

Howdy Mac,

To the best of my knowledge Gmail does not offer return receipt services.

In fact, after a quick search of the support area at Gmail, it doesn't look like a Gmail return receipt function is even being planned. :-(
