Calories.

Question Posted Wednesday November 15 2006, 10:36 am

Does anyone know of a website that can calculate how many calories you burn while doing an exercise. All I can find are sites that only tell how many calories you burn when you are like..skiing, and biking. Is there any simple ones just like...pushups, sit-ups, chin-ups, hogging in place, weight lifting, etc.?

I would really appreiciate it if someone could answer this for me.

Calisthenics and Weightlifting will general burn around 400-600 calories an hour with a normal pace and around a minute to a minute and a half rest in between sets. Running will burn about 700 an hour if you do it non-stop.

Just think that we burn 70 calories an hour while sleeping, truly is amazing how the body utilizes calories.

www.toneteen.com

click the TOOLS & CHARTS button, then under the tools part click 'Calories Burnt calculator' They have every exersize you can think of...

but these things never really work because even if you time yourself to the exact milisecond your muscles never work the exact same each time; reason why you can get better at running miles because you practise. you also never always put in the same amount of effort as the last rep. or lap you did. however, they can give you a rough estimate.
