My dog died. I've been trying to forget about it. It died when I was on vacation about 3 weeks ago and my friend and her parents also my older brother was watching him while we were gone so they said he was attacked by some other animal. How do I forget about him?

I had a hampster when I was about 10 and I still remember the day it died, when its nerves were still moving so I screamed he was alive but no he was in Hampster Heaven ^^
Hold onto the memories you had with him/her..Only thing is dont keep remembering, the more you do the worse you will feel.
It will grow out of you to be upset when you think about him, until your happy and you say ...remember when (Harry) used to do that in the garden or whatever.
Try getting a cat? Another dog will make it harder for you too accept. But a cat might be good ^^

A dog is just as much a member of the family as everybody else. Things will be different, but you can manage by hanging onto fond memories. It might be devastating, but all good things must come to an end.
There is a link you might be interested in checking out. It's a very sad video, and it will probably make you cry. The point of the video is that even though the animal might not be visible.. that doesn't make them any more alive in your heart.
