care package

Question Posted Sunday November 12 2006, 8:54 pm

The guy that I am dating, his older sister was involved in a car accident early this morning. Her collarbone is broken, she has a sprained neck and a messed up hip ligament. One of her friends who was in the car with her, was killed. So today he had to drive to his sisters dorm room, (which is right next door to the girl who was killed) to get some of his sisters things because she is comming home until she gets better. He told me "i saw some faces, and heard crying that i never want to hear again." and I know he just feels completely horrible and is going to be really down for a while. So I thought I might make him a care package to help. The thing is, I always make care packages for girls, so I'm not exactly sure what to put in it for a guy? I thought since its getting cold, hot chocolate, and maybe some movies. but i need more things in it, and I don't know which movies would be the best for this situation. If you have any ideas, please let me know! I appreciate it!

Popcorn, movie tickets, cookies, a video game, a baseball cap, one of those daily rip off calendars with jokes, inspirational quotes, or something he would like, and an inexpensive book about his favorite team or sport are some of the ideas that I could come up with. Your ideas were all great. Finding things for guys is hard. I'm sure that he will love whatever you get him. At this time, the thought is just as important as what the gift actually is. Good luck. :)
