Diabetes Will eating LOTS of carbs in one day cause diabetes? Usually, I watch my carbs pretty closely except probably one day a week. I don't exercise too much. I'm 16 year old female, and my parents or siblings don't have diabetes.

Diabetes is mostly hereditary so I'm sure eating carbs won't lead to diabetes, just be careful though. Eating sweets & the wrong kind of food does NOT cause diabetes but it causes obiesity & it's associated with people developing Type 2 diabetes. ]
Diet in itself does not cause diabetes, however, if you eat to the point of obesity, this can be one of the factors in developing it.

Eating alot of carbs shouldn't cause diabetes. I'm not totally sure about this, but I've never heard of just getting diabetes like that. I've always thought it was hereditary.
Hope I helped. Comment Please.
