I think it is possible but you are really going to have to be strict with yourself.

A diet which will have you loose 20 pounds within about two months is intense. I would recommend to cut out the sugars which you think you aren't eating but you are such as... sodas. Any soda like drink should really be eliminated or cut down on. High in protein foods (meats, eggs, tofu, ect.) are really key when you work out. Things like breads and pastas are not so great.. however wheat brain or whole grain bread are great. Obviously, vegitables and fruits are great for you.

For working out, I would start with cardio; I like the eliptical better than tredmill because I can't run for shit and eliptical helps sculpts your entire body if you use the arms aswell. If you are in reach of a gym, spinning classes are amazing! For muscle sculpting whatever your target is then there is a machine to help you, unless you're doing crunches or pushups. They have inner-outer thigh machines as well as other leg machines, they have different arm machines which can target bicepts, tripcepts and your back. The only thing I would never recomend is a stiar master, they are terricle for your knees.

If you are doing straight from home workouts then there are many different things you can do which can manicpulate any machine, I would search on a website for different workout just because if i were to describe them the only person who would understand would be myself.

anyways.. good luck with your goal.

Well, you have 2 months till New Years and you're trying to lose 20lbs...that's a little extreme =X

Don't go on crash diets or throw up and not eat or anything. Just don't it's a no no.

Erm, control your meal proportions (don't eat too much or too little and eat just the right amount) Don't go for doubles. Don't chug it all down at once

Stay away from sodas, junk food, candy, cakes, cookies, butter, peanut butter, etc.

Walk or jog around your neighborhood continuously at a constant speed for at least 40min. everyday or every 2 days.

This was a rough outline of what you should do. If you want more detailed plan, send me a msg to my inbox =]

Why in the world would you want to lose that much weight period? Unless you are literally obese and it's for health reasons, there really is no need.

Muy desperado can turn into Muy crash dieting if you aren't careful about how you go about dieting. So please, no skipping meals or overworking yourself.

If you are serious about losing weight though, you have to keep a routine going. If you lay around the house and eat a bunch of greasy foods and junk for a week and then not eat at all & exercise your ass off for a week, you'll get no where and you will make no progress. You have to be serious about what you are doing, and you have to keep to a strict diet. Notice I said strict, not starvation. As in you have to keep up your routine.

This won't be easy, and you'll have to work really hard, but if you are honestly serious and dedicated to this, I suppose I have some advice.

Try doing about 200 minutes of cardio work out for a week. Fat does NOT turn into muscle. You have to burn fat while putting on muscle. Do NOT go over an hour at one time. 30 or 45 minutes should be plenty.

Do 5 to 10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then start on weight training. Do anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour of more cardio and then rest. Weight lifting is a great way to lose weight, so keep it up. Your muscle will determine the rate of our metabolism. If you find weight lifting difficult, try aerobics or yoga.

The best time to eat is just within the hour of your workout when your metabolism is in high gear.

Regulary eat 5 to 6 times a day to keep your metabolism at a steady pace. Have smaller portions of food instead of 3 square meals a day. Strive to include all the fruits and veggies you can find for the 2 smaller meals. Drink green tea every morning (it helps with digestion which does help you lose weight)

Always eat breakfast. Metabolism is at it's highest at this time of day. Cut out any & all fast foods and sodas. Period.
