they check for pretty much everything, drugs, hormones sodium levels it's all in the pee ^_^ if you want them to do a more thorough search for drugs i'm sure they can.

If it is an employment physical, it depends on the
employer. Most employers send you to a doctor who knows the tests they want ran on prospective employees. I think a drug test is probably pretty routine these days.
If you are just getting a physical for your own personal well being. Then no, they will not test you for drugs unless you request it.
