myspace my myspace wont let people add me unless they know my last name/email. theres this thing in privacy settings that says "know last name" or something like that. i dont have it checked, but it still asks for it! how do i guess this so people dont have to type in my last name/email to add me?

I know depending on age, that sometimes you have to have the "Know Last Name." It could be just an error, actually, that happened to me once, but it was an error and fixed within a couple of days.
Also, some people have their accounts set where someone who is adding them must know their last name/email. ]
Actually, it's not a bug.
Depending on your age - that is a default. You cannot change it until you're old enough (when the age set on your myspace changes to like... sixteen or eighteen, I think. Because mine doesn't do it and I'm sixteen - but then again, it might and I might just be unaware.)
Basically - it's a sexual predator precaution.
Let's say you're 39, like my mom (who has myspace) when she added my younger sister - she had to know our last name or email so that she could add us.
The reason was the age difference.
Hope I helped. ]
the same thing happened to me, and some of my other friends. i think myspace has technical difficulties a lot, so it might do this for a few days, and then switch back to normal. you could try changing your age to a little bit older (like 17ishh), because when i did this it stopped asking for my last name/email even when there was technical difficulties. =] ]
This has happened once to me too. I think it does it on accident and it should just fix itself in a day or two :] ]
