Question Posted Wednesday November 8 2006, 6:03 pm
Every morning, I wake up and my lips hurt really badly. I put on chapstick (carmex) and keep on doing it until the day is over. By the end of the night I've got very nice and soft 'luscious' lips. Then I go to sleep, and wake up and in the morning they are all chapped again.
What can I do to make this stop?

LM answered Wednesday November 8 2006, 7:08 pm: You're probably slightly dehydrated. Cracked, painful lips are one of the first signs (you wont' feel thirsty until you're 5% dehydrated, f.y.i.)Try drinking more water every day.
Now, the guidelines say; half your body weight in pounds, thats how many ounces of water you need a day. You get a lot of this with food and beverages, so just drink a couple water bottles a day and you'll be fine. [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
