Don't worry, it doesn't sound crazy. I've spoken to many people who feel the same as you and think they will never lose it and end up "dying a virgin".. which is a little far fetched don't you think?!
Put it this way. Think about religions where you aren't supposed to have sex before marriage. People don't usually get married in their teens, so they will be waiting until their 20's or later. Which is absolutely fine. There isn't a set time for anyone to lose their virginity. and you shouldn't ever be made to feel like you will never lose it. Because one day when you've found someone special and you're ready, you will be glad you waited.
These days, it's so over rated and you see people as young as 12,13, assuming they are ready when they really aren't. There's many consequences that come out of sex. and rushing into it without knowing all the facts is a bad thing to let yourself in for.
You are only 16 - at legal age now. (in UK anyway =]) But seriously, what is the rush?
Is wanting to lose your virginity worth losing your life for? Absolutely not.
If it's really affecting your sleep etc, I do suggest you seek help. Anything which affects your daily routine is definitely not good for you. But you could sort this out yourself, by not only realizing there is nothing to worry about, but losing your virginity for the sake of it to get it over with.. or because you think you will never get that opportunity again isn't really something which should be playing on your mind 24/7.
Please do yourself a favour and try to get over it. It will happen when the time is right. It could be soon, or later in your life. But at least you'll know it will be a special moment in your life. :)
