what exactly is a yeast infection and how long could it last if it hasnt been treated?? i think i may have one but i've had this
certain problem "down there" for a long time. so please someone
tell me what it looks like and just what it is, and how long it lasts
if not treated, and how to treat it. THANK YOU!
if you think you have a yeast infection, treat it as immediately as possible, because it can lead to far worse infections.
girls get these all the time & there aren't any reasons to be embarrassed. just tell your mom that you feel you have one & need to see a doctor. it'll be all right, so don't panic :] [ karisue's advice column | Ask karisue A Question ]

neka answered Tuesday October 24 2006, 11:09 pm: go to your doctor as soon as possible! you would normally know when u have one by the symptoms which is itching and burning in the vagina and around the vulva (the skin that surrounds your vagina),a white vaginal discharge that may look like cottage cheese, pain during sexual intercourse or swelling of the vulva! but since you said its been like that for a while it could be caused by some of your colored underwear or even tight jean! but you should go to the doctor!
Good Luck

They do make over the counter medications for yeast infections. They are pretty expensive but you can try one of them and see how they work for you. If it doesn't help, please seek medical attention. Don't suffer needlessly. A simple antibiotic will take care of it and it is nothing to be embarrassed about.
Women get them all the time. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
