a girl usually has a 24 day cycle. which means your period is somewhere in between every 24-30 days, right?
well you are usually most fertile, 13 days after your period, all the way up to your period & sometimes the next 3 days after your period.
you are fertile for about 2 weeks & you are unfertile for about 2 weeks also, so it evens out.
so anywhere in between those days, don't have sex.

A girl has the same chances of getting pregnant at any time whether it be before or after her period. The chances are less if you use protection and/or if your on the pill but always use protection!
