Question Posted Monday October 23 2006, 8:39 pm

ok so our homecoming football game is this weekend and i dont know if i really want to go. i'm going to the homecoming dance of course but the game.. 1) i HATE football. 2) there's always going to be some drama there and i DO NOT want to be involved..... but if i don't go i'll feel like i might have missed something really fun or that people might be like "what the heck why didn't she go!" ... instead what i might do is go shopping with my other friend who goes to a different school. it'll be fun, no drama, no awkward moments, and i'll get some shopping done :P i was kind of thinking i could go to the game for a LITTLE BIT with that girl..except that girl doensn't know anyone at my school? but the stadiums kind of far away so i don't know what i should do =/ what would you do if you were me? i know like one person who isn't going and that's because she has some dance thing

Well, I'm not sure what time your game is and everything, but if I were you? I'd go shopping first so you can still have a blast with your friend from another school and everything and still get your shooping done, but still have time to go to the game and hang out with your other friends and have a blast there too. Like, go to the mall from like, 3-5 ( say the game starts at 7 ) then drop her off, go home, get refreshed, and hop back into the car and go to the game!

Yes, there is drama, but if you don't want to be involved, then don't! Just if you feel you're going to say something you later regret, keep it to yourself. If someone tries starting something with you, just walk away from it. You don't have to make yourself a part of the drama, you can be better than them and ignore them, and still be able to have a great time!

And yes, I don't like football either. I don't HATE it, but I'm not a huge sports person. Neither are all my other friends really, so everyone basically goes to the games to socialize and hear who won and everything, so I don't even pay attention to the game ever when I'm there. I've been going to the games since elementary school ( around 6th grade, now in 10th ) and I've never sat down and actually watched the game. I was in the back socializing the whole time.

So do both, and have a great time! Just avoid all the drama, and you won't be involved.

I hope I helped.
