Well it all depends on your cell phone provider and what they say. If its under warranty still, they have to replace it no matter how or what damaged it. If its not under warranty & you have insurance on your phone, you have to call them and ask for the insurace companys number so that you can file an insurance claim. My insurance claim would cost 50 dollars & that doesnt even insure a new phone. But thats just what verizon says. If you dont have insurance and arent under warranty you basically have to buy a new phone. Unless youre really good at talking your way out of things, you might get them to reason with you.

As long as you have insurence on it. They should fix it or replace it for free. I pay $6.00 extra a month for mine and that covers everything. If you don't have insurence then I think that you will have to pay for a new one or to get it fixed.

Yes just so long as you tell the phone company it wasn't intentionally. Tell them it dropped or something and whatever happened happened, because otherwise they'll claim it's your fault and charge you around 300 Dollars (Canadian, so yeah) to get it fixed.
