ello all. i am,hopefully, going to be getting married to this wonderful guy. i am muslim and i have a few questions about an islamic marriage. i am 17 and i am still in high school, and he would want me to move to his home which is in Doha,Qatar..they have a great school there but very expensive. would he be resposible for paying for my tuition? i know this sounds strange, but plz help if you can. also is it true that he must have my consent before he can take another wife? okay fank you. take care

In the modern world, and this also depends on which part of the world you're staying since it gives us an idea how pious you are, muslim women are given the freedom to study and work. But answering your question, yes, he will be responsible for paying your tuition since he is suppose to lead the family.
But as a love one, would you put that burden on him? And the consent of another wife, yes, he do not really need your consent, whether you like it or not, but he needs to be able to support two different families.
Honestly, I suggest you finish school first, then go into marriage. Unless it's a fixed marriage.
