drifting apart

Question Posted Wednesday October 18 2006, 8:06 pm

My best friend is avoiding me:(
We've been going to different schools for a while now and we've always been very close.
She has new friends now and I think she prefers them over me.
She completely avoids me online and calls.
I haven't spoken to her for about a week.
and it makes me really sad because I don't trust anyone and I don't have too many close friends.

I don't want to confront her about it because I already know what she will say. So is there anything I can do?

i totally know what your going through, me and my once best friend, are in a huge fight and i dont have any other close friends. it sucks but what your friend is doing is really fake, and there comes a time when you need to relize that you dont need someone in your life who isnt trying or taking the oppurtunity to be in yours, exspeically if youve never done anything wrong to her. you should really try and become closer to atleast some of your other friends, start hanging out with them more often. but if theres one thing you should definitly do, never make one of your friends your life. because when you lose that person as a friend, or you and that friend get into a fight, its almost like you wont have anyone and youll feel alone.

I know what you're going through, and I know it hurts. About a year ago, my BFF and I got into a major fight, and she wouldn't talk to me. I found myself calling HER. Going over to HER house. She never wanted to come over to my house. And when I did go to her house, I was ignored and left behind. I don't know if this will work for you, but I know it did for me, find a way to fill the hole. Find another girl you can totally gab with. Is there a new girl at your school? Try making friends with her. If your mom will let you, try finding a pen pal. If you want a pen pal, try this website: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
