Question Posted Wednesday October 11 2006, 9:45 pm
I try not to wash my hair everyday since its very damaged. However, the day I don't wash it, its really oily at the roots and quite dry at the ends. How do I keep it clean without damaging it so much? [I use SunSilk Hydra TLC]

Leave-in conditioner on the days when you don't wash your hair might help. Put it on the ends and try not to get too much on your scalp if your hair is oily at the roots.

If you don't want to wash it each day...yet keep it from looking oily...apply a small amount of baby powder in you your hair comb it in and rub into the scalp...then comb with a damb comb..the baby powder will take out the excess oil and even out the texture...just remember to use a small amount...and your hair will smell good too...try some hot oil treatments...they really help damaged hair... Since it's very damaged, maybe go in for a trim and get a hot oil treatment.
You should experience with different shampoos.
I use Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Conditioners, Frizz Control and Breakage Defense
and my hair was really damaged.. but now it's a lot better.
it's shiny. it's soft. friz? not as horrible as before.
