One of my friends told me that when she was 18 she was in an 'intimate relationship' with a 15 yr old boy. They were both teenagers, and both in high school at the time. However I am wondering if it is still illegal because technically she was an adult at the time and he was still underage.
Also, I would like to know what exactly the law says about this kind of thing. I am a 21 yr old woman, would a relationship with a boy that young be illegal? I am in Ohio by the way if it makes any difference.
Thanks.
It basically says people under 18 years of age cannot, so if you were to yes, it would be illegal and would probably be considered statutory rape (sp). If he and her were to just date and kiss and such, that'd have been completely legal and fine, but once you have sex, no.
So if you were 21 and to have sex with a boy that young, yes it would be illegal.
mwalnutss answered Thursday October 5 2006, 5:30 pm: yes that would be illegal. its called statchatory rape (that is deff spelled wrong lol). but even if the younger person is fine with kissing/ having sex with a 18 year oold/or older, its still statchatory rape. and they can go to jail for that. well in some states they can. hope i helped.

Here is info on consent laws with a chart for the states.
