I don't usually get zits (just one or two during my time of the month) so I usually don't waste my money on expensive products. I usually just scrub my face with a bar of soap when I'm in the shower. It seems like it works pretty well but I heard it isn't healthy for my skin. Is this true? If it is, do you have any product reccomendations?
Another skin problem I have is dry or flaky skin. It normally isn't a problem for me, but in the past few days it has been. This morning, I used my sister's face wash with exfoliating beads. And another thing I did was put on oil-free moisturizer before my makeup. However, by the end of the school day you could see the flaky skin. It looks so gross. Could I have excema(sp?)? Do you have any product reccomendations?

You should first of all check with your doctor about your skin, and what is good fro your skin, and what is bad. Listening commercials will not do you any good in this case. They are usually for the smallest symtoms. I know you wanted a suggestion. Not to be rude it depends on the tone of your skin. For light white skin I'd suggest Neutrogena, for the latino mid skin, use clean and clear, or for the dark black skiin use Olay regenerist. I understand where you're coming from i do the same everyday. [ Luvsingin201's advice column | Ask Luvsingin201 A Question ]
xgirlygurl answered Tuesday October 3 2006, 12:56 pm: you can put some omeny into a face wash but if youre washing the dirt away its ok if your skin is dry use a moisturiser because it wil keep your skin hydrated and stop it feeling dry.
hope this helps

In the first week or so of using it (day and night..2 times a day) use a cotton pad and go around your face getting rid of those dead skin..just don't srub..that's bad.
Don't use a bar of soap for you face...it's true that it's bad because those soap are usualy for bodies even tho it says FACE SOAP. but yea..soap and face doesn't go together.
Use Nuetrogena, DML, Aveeno...any of those moisturizers that are oil free once in the day time and once during lunch at your school. Lay off the make up pleaseeeee. It's not helping with your skin right now but rather holding ur skin back from going back to it's neutral state. [ ductape_n_roses's advice column | Ask ductape_n_roses A Question ]
