okay, so, we're doing this mystery story for english. and i was just wondering if when you write the name of a play, do yu underline it or put quotes around it? and also, if you have time,
please tell me if you can help me on proofreading my story. i'm not really good at proofreading, so i need help on that. if you would like to help me, please give me your e-mail address and i'll e-mail it to you. [[it's kinda long]]
lilshortymac01 answered Wednesday November 22 2006, 6:54 pm: use italics (underlining) for thr title of a book, play, long poem, film, television series, magazine, newspaper, or work of art.
use quotation marks for the title of a short story, essay, short poem, song, magazine or newspaper article, or book chapter.
The_MoUsY_spell_checker answered Sunday October 1 2006, 1:26 am: Generally, you put quotes around it if you're writing, and you put it in italics if you're typing. If you're referring to it in an essay, you underline it the first time you mention it.
