Just wanted to update you on the information that another poster gave you. I doubt if it is tapeworms. Tapeworms are not transmitted by hand to mouth contact..to get a tapeworm you actually have to swallow a host which is usually a flea. Pinworms may be what everyone is trying to say here. They exit the rectum at night to lay their eggs. Often little white dots are seen in the stool--or actually tiny worms. The itching would be worse at night. I do believe there is over the counter medicine for pinworms if you think that may be what you have. Call the Dr or ask a pharmacist. Otherwise what may be going on is some type of skin yeast infection. In this case you'd want to keep the area as clean and dry as possible and apply a nystatin type powder. The best advise of all however is to see your Dr so you can get diagnosed and get some relief from the pure torture that itching can cause. ]
do you mean the hole?I could be thread worms - they are nothing 2 worry about.Just go 2 your chemists and ask for medication - you dont need to see a doc!If it reallyyy itches at night then it must be thread worms becauase they LOVE the dark ]
In my opinion, there could be one of two things going on here. One possibility is you just want a quick laugh asking a question like this. Another one is you really need help. In that case, I recommend a shower. That's your best bet. It sounds like a simple hygeine problem. ]
There are two possibilities where symptoms like this occur, as far I'm aware.
The first possibility is that you have what is known as a rectal tear. Basically, this occurs when you have to push to (delicately put) get things out. It's a common symptom of a lack of fibre in the diet. If you noticed a small amount of blood on the toilet paper after going to the loo a few days ago, this is very possible. When it heals over, which it does naturally, it can itch a bit. The bad news is that there really isn't anything you can do to stop it unless your local chemist offers some topical ointment for this.
The other possibility is worms. Tapeworms, in particular, are not uncommon and are usually passed through bacteria transferred by hand to mouth contact. One of the many reasons to ALWAYS wash your hands after going to the toilet and before you eat. These little parasites can make you feel very itchy round your back passage, usually more so in the evenings. Normally, there will be some evidence of this when you go to the toilet, as you will be able to see them among your stools. The good news is they can be treated with tablets so if it looks like this may be the reason, if you pay a visit to your doctor, they will be able to sort you out with some medication. ]
