okay heres the thing i am scared to go up to a girl and start talking to her i am scared i will try and talk to her and she will think i am an idiot..
is it normal for a girl to say they have a boyfriend around there friends
but when they are not around there friends they act like they really like me

Us females give mixed messages to guys and they can never understand so i am Sorreh about that.Always make eye contact and smile - so she gets an idea of who your are and your not a nobody.Walk past her and say hi and make sure you put her name on the end of it eg: "hi AMY"
so she knows you know her!Just talk to her about stuff like skl for intance.If she ignores you - dont bother because what she wants is for you to run up to her like a sad little dog - dont fall for it!

So your shy? Aren't all guys? Just try to be friends with her. If you can't talk to her just look at her around every 5 minutes meet her eye then when she looks back look away and smile. She'll eventually start wondering and go up to talk to you. If you stumble while talking to her tell her your horrible at talking to girls. Haha, it's perfectly fine to talk to her, she's not going to think you're an idiot. And if you do say something weird or anything, if she has a sense of humor ( which most girls should have cause girls love to laugh ) she'll just laugh and it and find you cute and funny.
And sadly, yeah it's normal. Girls love to get attention, of course. So whenever you guys are just sitting there hanging out, she might be flirting and either not realize, or is doing it to get attention from you, which she is. But of course some girls are decent and realize they have a boyfriend and let people know and won't take it any further than flirting ( but they shouldn't be doing it anyway ).
But there's also just the kind of girl who guys take it as flirting, but the girl thinks she's just being friendly. Like with me one time I was just talking to this guy and he was funny so I was laughing and everything, and all my friends thought I was flirting with him!
So it can go either way sometimes, but I'd probably take it she's an attention-craver. Girls can be like that especially with boyfriends sometimes cause they don't want attention from just ONE guy. I hope I helped.
