Sore Mouth & Alcohol

Question Posted Saturday September 23 2006, 3:51 pm

Last night I drank a half a 2'6 of raspberry vodka. This morning the back / roof of my mouth feels very raw and sore.

Could the drinking and pain be related?
Is there any way I can make it feel better?

I have tried eating icecream because it is cold but it did not work.

Thanks so much for your help :)

It's very likely that the alcohol had something to do with your sore mouth. I suggest gargling or swilling your mouth out with a weak solution of TCP and water, or a saline solution. Otherwise I suggest sucking on some throat lozenges. Hope that helps.

If you drank it straight, then yes most likely. Try drinking lots of water. It shouldn't last too long, it's kind of like when your throat hurts from throwing up.
