I`m well liked at school, I have alot of friends. However, I find myself being mean at times. I try not too, but a sarcastic remarks slip out constantly, and I tend to gossip. I've cut down alot, but I'm trying to stop all together.

Basically you just have to think before you speak. Think about how your sarcastic remarks will hurt the other person. Eventually over time you will stop. I have this bad habit (unintentionally) of saying rude remarks when my dads overweight girlfriend is around (not about her, but I've said something about fat people with her in the room... it was definitely embarassing ). I don't think these things, they just come out of my mouth, but only when she is there. I only see them a couple of times a year, but somehow, it still happens, totally without me meaning to. Just consciously think about how you're trying to be nicer to people and eventually it will just come naturally. I hope this helped. <3 Dana [ littleblufirefly's advice column | Ask littleblufirefly A Question ]
