sore gums

Question Posted Wednesday September 20 2006, 4:26 pm

I just got my braces off three days ago and I've found that ever since, it really hurts my gums when I brush my teeth. I'm flossing now that I have no braces, and that doesn't hurt. But the brisles hurt very badly on my teeth. Why is this? What can I do to ease the pain?

Advil, Tylenol, or Ibuprofen to ease the pain.

If you would like, put the toothpaste on your finger and gently massage your gums until they become stronger. If the pain is TOO intense I suggest telling your parents.

After a week or so your gums should adjust and become stronger.

Good Luck <3

it's tender at the moment, give it a few weeks, a month at the most and if it still sore then tell your mom
