It's a both yes and no type of answer.

No, because you're a teenager I assume and alot of teenagers are obsesssed and into people's looks, hair, what they're wearing, etc. So if people don't look good, alot of people aren't going to want to associate and talk with them.

But yes, it is wrong because you're just judging people by what they look like. "Inner beauty", ever heard of it? I'm not trying to sound harsh but there are some really cool nice people out there and they may not look the best, but they're personality is.

I would at least try making some friends with the "bad genes" because they can be cool to talk to, and some people who ARE good looking and they know it, usually tend to be shallow jerks.

I hope I helped.

No, its not wrong. You're just young. Eventually you'll get to a point where the people your age don't look like models and that's when you'll develop a quality friendship.

That really depends on how you define wrong. If the question were phrased something like "does that make me vain?" or "does that make me shallow?", then the answer would be yes.

"Wrong" implies some sort of ethical or moral issue. Strictly speaking, its not wrong. You can pick and choose your friends, by whatever criteria you decide.

However, you might consider that by relying on something as irrelevant as looks, you are not living your life to its fullest. Friendship is about a lot of things (loyalty, trust, fun etc), and looks are not really that important. If you pick your friends using the wrong criteria, you may come to pay for that later in life. Also, have you considered how many great frienships you are foregoing because of your obsession with looks?

Like I said earlier, you are of course free to choose whatever you want. If I were you though, I would really try to figure out why this is such an issue for you. It isnt logical, and it will make your life more difficult.
