hi, ok i live in britain, and was just wandering if the USA is really like what we see on tv shows or movies. the whole nice weather, youthful fun thing? like the OC and stuff like grease etc. because here in the UK there is virtually minimal youthful fun or whatever you want to call it. thanks in advance.
orphans answered Tuesday September 19 2006, 8:05 pm: Many people across the world dislike the American's and our society and DO NOT WANT TO BE INVOLVED WITH US.
U.S.A. isn't always like what you see on movies and tv's because they want to do that stuff to make it INTERESTING.
It's different weather across the world. California along the coast has a humid weather and has cool weather just like Florida.
I live in Colorado, and we can not predict the weather because of our Rocky Mountains.
It just depends where you live and normally on television, it's in San Diego, California, or in Florida or New York and those weathers are a nice cool weather because they have oceans nearby. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

The weather thing really, really varies; in many places, they get snow in the winter, and in others, it's sunny all year round. As for youthful fun, I really doubt it's any different from the UK. I think they just like to put people like that on T.V. because it makes for good entertainment, not because every American teen is like that. modelkate11 answered Tuesday September 19 2006, 7:57 pm: i live in new york and we get alot of rain. some places are nice though. cities have alot of clubs and thats where the young people hang out. malls are good to hang out and go shopping or go to the movies. most kids in america are really oriented around their friends. i know me and my friends get together alot. america isnt exactly like tv but i wouldnt want to live anywhere else. hawaii is my favorite place and they ALWAYS have good weather. about 85 degrees everyday (farenheit that is) and its not humid there, and theres the beach almost everywhere you go. so if you want to visit america for sunny weather go to hawaii. if you want "real america" then go to new york city or los angeles. MelLeDisko answered Tuesday September 19 2006, 7:20 pm: Well, I guess you could say there's youthful fun. I mean we go out with our friends, hang out at places, shop, go to parties. And believe me, the weathers not ALWAYS nice, but they aren't going to play like, hail and mudslides on a tv show. But the weather out in California is nice some of the time and real pretty out there so when you do see Laguna Beach and everything, that pretty much is what it looks like on a good day. But not all of USA is like that. Like where I live, Pennsylvania, all the way on the other side of the country from Cali, I get snow, cold weather, storms, but then sometimes it's really sunny and pretty out.
