Well sit ups don't even use your abdominals in their primary function, they use the Hip Flexor Illiopsas muscles. Look it up.
Maybe if you were to slow down and actually feel the contraction in the whole abdominal system and not just rush them out like everyone does you would feel it in your lower stomach. Do you really think that the bottom 2 abs aren't enaged in a crunch if the other 4 are contracting? Come on, sort the bullshit from the facts and bullshit is that you only work your upper abs during a crunch.
