skateboarding

Question Posted Sunday September 17 2006, 7:58 pm

I really want to learn how to skateboard. The problem is I don't have a skateboard. I was wondering where you can get really good skateboards.

ok i am a skateboarder my self and im am pretty good at that. So i know what it is like to be a beginner and you dont want to get a really good skateboard at that the best suggestion is to get one from walmart and it also depends where you live to estimate how much it will cost but around here a walmart board only costs around maybe 20 to 50$, but if you get one and you learn a little on them like how to ollie shovit pop shovit nollie and maybe learn how to kickflip and heelflip then you will want to move up to better equipment and when you do get a better board you will notice a major change in how the tricks are done and a major hight change in your ollie, but the best site i have went to for a board is www.ccs.com they have all of the pro equipment and you can get a costum or a complete board custom would probably be the best way to go becouse you can get everything to fit your skateing style i am more less a street skater and the best board i found on there costs around 200 to 230$ so just make sure you want to stick with this sport before you buy a high quality board or you could be out of alot of money. Hope i helped..

Look skateboarding business's up in your phonebook, you'll find plenty. Or, you can always go to Zumies. Tell them what you want, and they'll build it for. And it'll be pretty cheap. The most you'll pay is $115, depending on the package you get. Silver/Gold/Platinum. Platinum is the most expensive, because the nicest stuff for the skateboard's in the package. I'd get that one.

Skateboards are very expensive. A decent skateboard should cost you upwards of $250.00- $350.00 dollars. That's a big investment to make on a chance that you might pick up and stick with the sport. If you're a beginner, I suggest going with a lesser quality board. You can find one at Walmart for about $100.00, and that should do you fine for the time being. It won't be a terrific make by any standards, but it's the most appropriate way to approach learning. If you should discover that the sport isn't for you, a Walmart skateboard would have saved you hundreds. At the same time, it will have satisfied your urges with the reminder that you made an attempt at what you had originally wanted. And if the outcome of this trial session is positive, any knicks that may have resulted from your first few attempts at skateboarding won't be on your better equipment.
