earings

Question Posted Wednesday September 13 2006, 9:54 pm

How long do you keep the earings you got your ears peirced with in?
I got my second hole like four weeks ago, and I wanted to know if I could change them.
I got my first hole like...four years ago so I can't remember how long to keep it in.
Do you think I can take it out?
Its already been four weeks, and I'd put another one in.
I had to take them out today for soccer for like two hours and they were fine.
Can i?

For six weeks you aren't supposed to take them out at all, so the holes can heal.
After that....for like a couple months you must keep earrings in, but you can change them. After several months, maybe up to a year, you can leave them out for a while....for a while though you don't want to leave them out for long. I had my ears peirced two and a half years ago. i can leave earrings out for a long period of time...but if you leave them out for too long your holes will close up.

I would leave them in for another 2 weeks just in case, because I left them in for 6 weeks then took them out for about 2 days and the holes closed up. now i don't have a second hole :( lol so yeah I'd wait a little bit

It's normally 6 weeks. It does depend on the place you go to , how you clean them and what condition your piercings are in at the moment.
If you've already taken them out and didn't put any in for 2 hours, it should be prefectly fine to change them. :)

The lady that pierced my ears told me that you have to keep those in for 6 weeks because its a certain earring. I would just wait the last 2 weeks before you change them.
