He really does not make sense.
I was very good friends with this guy named Michael last year. We would call each other and stuff. People were always telling us we should go out. He also was hinting a lot about going to the movies. So, I'm pretty sure that he liked me. Over the summer we still talked a lot on the phone except we talked even longer than during school and we would always talk with each other on IM. We still talk on IM some, but I'm always the first to IM him! Since school has started again, he only talks to me if he's asking me for gum, which I think is stupid of him. Why won't he talk to me anymore?!

Maybe he's moved on. There's no way to know for sure so just ask him. It may be uncomfortable for you but thats the only way to do it. If your friends or whoever asks he can just lie to them.
So ask him yourself.

people change.... did you ever do anything to him??? Ask him what's up on AIM and see why he's doing this. If he wont respond, email him or call him. better yet, talk to him in person so he can actually see what you're feelings are. Ask him why he's acting this way. People change a lot, so maybe he just wants to hang out with somebody new.
