My mother has a problem sleeping. For these past few days, she has been getting the lack of sleep.
Do you have the same problem? What can I tell my mom without useing any sleeping medicine to let her fall alseep.
1. Make her drink REALLY cold water before she sleeps. I know it's weird but when you're cold you snuggle into your pillows and somehow when you feel warm you just fall asleep. =)
2. Tell her not to drink coffee or something with alcohol atleast 3 hours before she goes to sleep because it keeps you awake.
3. Try to avoid meat. People add this thing to keep the meat a red-ish colour but it's actually bad because it causes head ahces and can keep you up.
If she's vegetarian, then that one's no prob lol

WinJustin2010 answered Monday September 4 2006, 12:32 am: Im sorry my friend, but I do in fact reccomend proper medication for insomnia, but there are alternatives,
here are some causes for insomnia
stress...
restless mind...
pain
nausea
check to see if your mom has any of these things...also some other things might help too for sleeping aids besides for medication
one, warm milk helps some
another is a masage of sorts before bed, of course you would probably have to administer them...
If none of those things work, I reccomend consulting your family doctor of possible prescription choices...I reccomend Remeron myself...but I do wish your mother the best, and I hope she gets a good nights sleep real soon!
