what should i do

Question Posted Wednesday August 30 2006, 7:40 pm

ok so her it is.
i have this boyfriend and we have been going out for almost 10 months.
i just recently moved to hawaii.
i dont know if he wants to stay in a long distance relationship, and when i ask him he says yes, but i dont know if he is telling the truth because he always sounds kindof shakey or something.
I'm not sure how i can ask him to not make him feel nervous or something.
What should i like ask him?

Well ask him if he really wants to stay toghther or he's just messing around. I've always wanted to visit Hawaii. If he doesn't tell you straight out, dump him and move on. Hope I helped!

Well, you didnt say where you lived before, but Hawaii is pretty far away from everything so..

I honestly wouldnt have a long distance relationship. It makes things hard because you cant see each other every day, just talk.

And it might be fine to just talk to each other for the first couple weeks or so..but then you dont know if he is off with another girl on the weekends, because your all the way over in hawaii.

You might've trusted him before, but trust me..its alot easier for guys to cheat when their girlfriend is 1000 miles away.

It will be hard to break up with him, and it will break your heart, but your heart will heal.

Well, there really isn't a specific way to ask him. The main thing in a relationship is honesty and you should be able to talk about anything together without it being a problem. Tell him how you feel about it and how you think he feels sometimes. If he still says that he wants to be in a long distance relationship then he is telling you the truth. I hope I helped and if not than I'm sorry. Message me if you need anything.

Charade answered Wednesday August 30 2006, 8:00 pm:
well if its a yes then take it as a yes but make sure you do the following things.

1. Keep in contact: phone each other everyday, talk online every night, just interact with each other as best as you can.

2. Let each other know you still care: Mail persents back and forth, both of you go visit each other on the holidays ((you two figure how that will work))

3. Have a life: just like any relationship, having a life outside of it is just fine and very healthy but just remember, if possible inculde your boyfriend in it.

but if that doesn't work, part ways as best you can and find someone in your respected areas.
