i hate my hair

Question Posted Tuesday August 29 2006, 11:16 am

i got highlights done at a salon a few weeks ago, and i hate the color. i have medium/dark brown hair, so i wanted light brown highlights, but the girl was new so she made them like dirty blonde.(i was basically model for this girl so the owner could supervise her so it was free) it looks so bad because it contrasts so much with my natural color. she did it wrong because after she dried it she was supposed to put the stain in to make the highlights browner(they were brown in thr first place) and she was supposed to leave it in for 5 mins but she only left it in for 1, and her and the owner were like, ooh it looks good like this! so im like ok whatever but once i saw it in a mirror i was like oh noo. my mom wont do anything because according to her they look great. but my sister and my best friend and people my age think it's too blonde. i do too. are there any ways i can fix thiss? like, if i go get a touch up, will they be able to darken it? thank youu <3

Well coloring over that will not remove it, it will just damage your hair more. (My stylist told me that) I would try shampooing 2 times a day to make it fade faster. Your hair will be damaged, but it will help fade the higlights. Then I would put on a deep conditioning treatment. (Try coconut, avacado, or olive oil) and leave it on for about 30 min. Use heat too. (I just put a plastic bag over my hair and then a towel, then I sit under a hair dryer) This will help add lost moisture in your hair.My hair gets really soft after a deep treatment. I'm sure it doesn't look too bad. Also even if your not naturally curly, go to www.naturallycurly.com Then click on curl talk, and look at the message boards. They have a section for hair coloring that you can look at.

Also, let your hair go natural until the highlights fade. If you straighten your hair or curl it or whatever, you will be damaging it even more.

yes you can touch it yp and go back to the regualar color your hair was or just re-highlight it. i had the same problem but my hair is dirty blonde and i got really blonde highlights. just go back and they can surely fix it.

well there are a couple of things you can do in this situation

1. you can always dye your hair your natural color with those bottles at home (there is this one really good brand that doesn't damage your hair etc)

or

2. you can complain to the people and ask them to do your highlights again the color you wanted

sorry thats all i can think of
hope i helped
&
good luck
