my two best friends?!
hi :) 14/f. sorry if its long, but please helpp! okay so i have two best friends, one is a guy and one is a girl. lets call him peter and her jessica. ive been friends with peter since i was like 3 and ive gone to school with him all middle school. this year were going to different highschools because he is going to an all boys school.. but we still see eachother alot. jessica is someone i met at camp like 3 years ago and we live about 20 minutes away. but we hang out so much, you would never guess that we live that far. anyway, one day they both came over and met and they started liking eachother. they hung out a few times with me there (like 6 times in two months) and then he finally asked her out. she realllllly likes him and stuff and he reallly liked her. but now, they dont see eachother a lot and he isnt sure how its going to work with them living so far away. he called me and told me that he wanted to break up with her because his feelings for her werent that strong anymore. but then he asked me not to tell her. but i feel that i should because she is my best friend and i know she is gonna be hurt. if i tell her, then i will lie to peter cuz i told him i didnt. but if she finds out that i knew before he did it, then she will be like mad. i know i would if she didnt tell me. can anyone help me please? im like torn and i really dont know what to do!! :(

well maybe you could ask her what she thinks of the relationship and how long it will last if she ask why belike well i dont know it seems like you guys are drifting.just sort of hint stuff to her bit by bit but really you cant betray his trust either you guys have been friends to long for that.soon enough he will tell her him self then she will ask if you knew and you will have to say ya but if she gets mad just give her time.Like i always say healing takes time it took me 6 months to forgive a friend once but i highly doubt it will take that long.just get ready because ya she wil be mad at you but you need to keep the secret.for all your sakes.

hey you aren't doing anything wrong; peter should have told jessica what he told you but obviously he's too shy to tell her. that does not mean its up to you to break up with her for him. just stay out of it for now and if you want let peter know that he should tell jessica because if he doesnt tell her hes being dishonest to her by not telling her how he feels and hes putting you in the middle of this. hope i could help if you need anything else drop one in my inbox!!!

This can get very comlicated. I'm 15 myself but everybody tells me i'm very good at giving advise, so i'll try. You say Peter has been your good friend for a very long time, so i think that you should be a trustful friend and not tell. I also do understand that she's your really good friend, and some things you just can't keep to yourself. I would have to say, that if he doesn't tell her soon, maybe you should hint at the idea. Not nessicaraly tell her. If she does find out, tell her not to tell him, and if she's your really good friend, she won't. If she's not veru trustworthy herself, i wouldn't risk it.
