do you want it permanent? if yes, maybe try telling her its not permanent ... hair colour fades, so before she catches on it will look to be washing out. I did this with my mum. she liked it, and i told her it was permanent. she was fine with it.

However, black does make hair look very dull

It took me a year to let my mom let me dye my hair black.
Eventually, I just came home one day with black hair. Once you dye your hair black, there's basically no lightening up untill it fades.

I also told my mom I'd inquire some blonde in my hair, so it looked "normal", you basically need to butter her up before you ask, like clean the house or give her a compliment.

And if she says no
rebel.

You didnt say how old you are, so if you are like 13 or 14, she can tell you not to do it all she wants. Listen to your mom, its for your own good.

Black is a pretty harsh color, I wouldnt let my kid do it. If it turns out crappy its really really hard and expensive to turn back to the original colors.

I would opt for a dark brown color instead. It will look more natural and better.

tell your mom that you'll do extra chores and other things. Tell her you think you are a responsible adult and you want this badly. If she doesnt let you, just keep convincing her how bad your hair looks now. but be careful, you dont want to end up annoying her about this situation

I hope I helped!
