well i went to the docotors and i found out my older isster weighs less then me.and im not in the greatest shape ever. so i thought i' go ona healthy diet. my questiosn are
1)what are some healthy foods but taste good to eat for a diet?
2) how many times a day should i eat?
3) i always get lazy and dont feel exerciseing how can i stop this?
1)Fruits and veggies are always awesome. Don't drink diet sodas or sugar free stuff thoug (diet coke, diet gingerale, splenda, sugar free yogurt, etc) They contain a toxic substance in there that causes cancer. YES CANCER. I'm very very serious about this. Also if you drink diet sodas, you will think "Oh that soda didn't have any calories" and will be eating more that you should. Try low fat yogurt, 1% fat free milk, etc.
2)Eat three meals a day (don't skip a meal because 1)it slows down the metabolism and 2)it makes your body store the fat because it won't know when the next meal will come in) And in b/w eat small healthy snacks (apples, banana, carrots with fat free ranch, etc)
3)Get up early in the morning (even during summers) around 7AMish. Go for a jog around your neighborhood. (Start out by walking...then jog at a really slow pace as if you were walking..just pick up those legs! And gradually increase your speed) Don't sit down to watch tv, stand up and do some squats or stretches, just keep moving. No matter how much you want to put off the exercise, think about this: every day that you don't exercise, fat is building up inside.
4)As I said, eat small healthy snacks. They will keep you satisfied (your stomach that is) and help you from over eating because you're hungry. When you eat meals, eat only whats on your plate and don't go for seconds. NO SECONDS. Instead of piling food on a [big] dinner plate, get a salad plate and eat from there (it will give the image of a full plate without so much food) Eat slowly because it takes your brain 20min to think that you're full. When you are full, don't eat anymore..no matter how much more food is on your plate.
5)Pilates are great for your body as well as yoga. There is a TV Prgram in the mornings called Dennis Austion workout. It's an hour long..two show each 30min long...anywhos you should find out when that comes on in your area and follow her exercises. Try to do them 5times a day...she gives you great advice and exercises and it's overall GREAT. You should always try to fit in walking/jogging around the neighborhood as much as possible (I jog for about 30min everyday)
If you want to know more about these stuff, just email me at xchoke_on_Dead_hopex@yahoo.com or just send me another question on here to my inbox because I have much more advice but I don't know if you need them. I can tell you whats good for your skin, hair, what clothing will give out the slim image, etc.

Jodieee answered Saturday August 26 2006, 2:25 am: First things first..don't overdo the whole diet thing to fit an image.
If you feel like toning up, or losing a couple dress sizes then ok, but dont overdo it, your still young, nature still has to take its course.
1) some healthy, good tasting foods are any fruits or vegetables. They make a good snack. Stay away from really greasy foods, and really fatty foods. You can eat them sometimes, but remember to eat them in moderation (so just eat small amounts of junk foods, on a special occasion)
If you crave something crunchy, like potato chips, opt for something like rice crackers, or rice chips. They have way less fat, but lets face it, they dont taste exactly like pringles but they do the job.
2) You should ALWAYS eat breakfast, even just a bowl of cereal and orange juice will do. It will kick your day off in the right direction and give you a boost all day. And have a healthy lunch, like a sandwich, a piece of fruit, juicebox, and maybe a couple carrots. When you come home from school you can have a snack like crackers and cheese. Just keep your snacks healthy. The fatty snacks are what will get ya. And then just eat a normal supper. Like chicken with rice, and some salad. Try not and eat anything past 9:00 pm, have a light snack before bed and it'll be good.
3.) All teenagers are lazy. lol. But if you feel like you are over lazy, go out for a walk with your friends maybe. Or you can shoot hoops with them, go bike riding or go swimming. Try and find a fun activity to do, so it doesnt seem like you are excersising.
4.) If you feel like you are craving something, but you know you shouldnt eat it, drink a glass of cold water, it will fill you up. Or you can try brushing your teeth, it will make you lose the craving. Try not watching lots of tv all of the time, because you will probably crave more junk food while watching the tube.
5.) Don't go nuts with the excersizing. I wouldn't be ordering any ab blasters or anything like that over tv. If you feel like you want to exersise, then try the going for a walk with friends, shooting hoops, etc..what I said before...
Or you can try doing crunches (sit ups) in the morning or night.
Basically..dont waste your teen years trying to be in the best shape..not alot of us are in the best shape..so it doesnt really matter if you are a bit curvy. Just have fun, and get outside, and dont overindulge on the junk food.
P.S -> peanuts have ALOT of fat in them..I would stay away from them AND sunflower seeds because they get addictive and the fat count is waay up.
Just look on the nutrition facts on the back of the label for the fat count and such.
