so i'll try and help as much as possible.
So they put you to sleep with a mask
and you wake up in a room. your throat
will hurt really bad when you talk and
stuff.
when i got home i threw up once
and i ate popsicles and ice cream for
like ever. (i even said i still hurt
after it didn't so i could keep eating
them whenever i wanted lol)
but basically its going to hurt for a
while. you can't really walk through
the procedure beacuse we were all asleep.
But you go on the stretcher they put you
to sleep, and than you wake up in a room.
hope i helped. [ ohxbaby's advice column | Ask ohxbaby A Question ]

When you wake up, dont freak out if there are a bunch of cords on you. Expect to cough blood for a while, but it goes away soon. You will have a soar throught for a few days.
what to eat:
popsicles, ice cream, cold drinks, pretty much anything thats cold. :-) [ johncenarules54's advice column | Ask johncenarules54 A Question ]
xEVYx answered Thursday August 24 2006, 11:48 am: I had mine taken out when I was about 10. When I woke up i was so droggy from the medicine I don't really remember hurting. I do remember being carried out in a wheelcheer to go home, but that's about all I remembered from the hospital. To me the most painful part was the next few days and trying to eat. I didn't eat alot and I slept a good 90% of the time. It isn't as bad as you think, once the first couple days after the surgery go by you'll be up and feeling better. Just eat alot of soft things and don't try to force it and you'll be fine.
askme19 answered Thursday August 24 2006, 11:02 am: well it's not really painfull i mean you wake up with a bad taste in your mouth but not painful and what will happen is you wont e able to drink or eat anything the day before so then you will go into wherever your getting them out and you will change then they will take you into the room and put a gasmask on you so you will sleep then they will take your them out then they will take you into the recovery room and soon you will wake up they usally give you water then once you wake up more you will be able to eat jello or ice cream or something soft then you will go home and usally you have to take some medication after they are out for a week or 2 or something and yea thats all i know now if i was any help to you please tell others about me if you would and i'm sorry if i wasnt any help good luck [ askme19's advice column | Ask askme19 A Question ]
