Use an eyeshadow primer made specifically to go on your eyelids. Don't use foundation, moisturizer, or concealer. Most people have eyelids that are somewhat oily. Eyeshadow primers are designed to resist that oil and keep shadow on all day-foundations and concealers are not made for the same purpose so they don't work in the same way. Clinique makes something called Touch Base which is excellent.

If you use an eye cream in a neutal shade so it wont affect your eyeshadow colour so a white or cream. if you apply this first, just a light covering over your eye lid and then apply the eye shadow it sticks to it and doesnt fade durnig the day. you can even use just a litle bit of moisturiser underneath, that works just as well.
Be careful not to put too much cream on and let it rest a while before applying the eyeshadow or the eyeshadow will just mix in with it and it will be like just wearing cream which smudges into the crack. its a bit trial and error finding out what works for you and what you like.

the first girl's tip works good too. but i bought this stuff from Mary Kay called eye primer. it is a little lotion type substance and it comes in a squeeze tube. you just put it on your eyelid before applying eyeshadow and then it keeps your eyeshadow looking fresh all day!

here is a link to it:

i searched the internet for more eye primers and i actually found out that this is one of the cheapest ones out there. but it works great.

For it to stay on longer you should putt coverup or concealer on youre eyeslid before you apply youre eyeshadow.

I do this and it works great for me!
